Cleanroom Installation

The installation of the Class 100 cleanroom facility in the basement of the science center is about to start – tune in for more in February. Below is a general schedule of the works:

• February 4th, 2009 – Filter crates arrive from the US
• February 12th – Site coordinator from Arden arrives
• February 13th – Cleanroom shipping container arrives in Carpark 40
• February 15th – Install crew from Arden arrives
• February 16th – Installation begins
• February 20th – Removal of shipping container from Carpark 40
• February 23rd – Primary installation work completed
• February 24th – Air Quality Testing / Cleaning
• March 2nd-3rd – Fire Protection Installation
• March 30th-31st – Delivery of SS fixtures, Drain Installation
• April 23rd – Ultrapure Water Install
• April 24th – Port Install
• May 25-29 – Clean and Move into Facility
• June 2nd – New Cleanroom Facility Opens for Work

The disruptive part of the installation process is expected to be between February 16 and 25.
